The Accounting Specialist oversees all compliance with regulatory authorities and recognition for contracts and grants. S/he reports directly to the Deputy Executive Director and Grand Tamiochus (National Treasurer) on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget preparation and management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, and financial reporting. Additionally, the Accounting Specialist works with the International Grand Basileus (International President) and Grand Tamiochus in developing and monitoring the sorority's operational and conference budgets. S/he partners with the senior leadership and provides both operational and programmatic support to the organization. As the Accounting Specialist, s/he must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace. The ideal candidate will have a history progressive financial leadership, with a focus on financial reporting, process controls and account reconciliation; and is a skilled QuickBooks user. In addition to the experience noted, the candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in business administration, accounting or finance with 3-5 years of relative experience.
The Administrative Assistant will provide reception and mail management support to the International Corporate Headquarters of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. This role will report to the Deputy Executive Director. Administrative support will include switchboard management, mail processing and sorting, maintain office logistics, author correspondence to/from external partners and vendors, and support the management team of the office as needed. The ideal candidate will have a history of working in high pace environments, managing executive level communication and demonstrated success in administrative tasks. In addition to the experience noted, an Associate Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
Membership Services Coordinator
The Membership Services Coordinator will perform a wide range of duties to support the membership intake process of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. S/he will report to the Director of Membership Services. This role will manage the day-to-day membership support including assisting with all aspects of membership interactions; providing administrative support for the membership intake process, reactivation programs and responding to membership-related questions and concerns; and compile chapter profile reports. The ideal candidate must have superior customer service skills, extensive experience with MS Office tools (i.e. Word, Excel, and Power Point) ability to research and solve complex service issues, and a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and written. In addition to the experience noted, an Associate Degree or 2-3 years of administrative or membership (customer) service experience is required.
