Sorors, Family & Friends,

We are saddened and shocked by the horrific events at Northern Illinois University. At this time, all of us can feel a personal connection and loss associated with this great tragedy because once again our future leaders have been denied the opportunity to fulfill their dreams.
Almost one year ago, we watched in horror as the news reported the tragedy at Virginia Tech. On Thursday, February 14, 2008, we once again experienced tragedy occurring at Northern Illinois University. On the campus, we have undergraduates in Zeta Nu chapter, two sorors who are graduate students and a soror who is the undergraduate advisor and a Northern Illinois University faculty member. It is with a great sense of relief that I can report that all are safe.
We know that no words can comfort or ease the pain of loss and suffering. We pray the memories of those who have lost a loved one are held deep in their hearts and soothe their pain. Let us recognize that our faith in a higher power gives us the courage to continue forward.
As a loving and caring family, please keep everyone affected by this tragedy in your prayers.

															Sisterly,
								Mynora J. Bryant
