Saving babies and their mothers has been the goal of the March of Dimes since its inception. Sigma Gamma Rho has supported the non-profit organization through a multitude of programs, most recently Project

Reassurance and H³ It's All About Me.

The Sorority entered into an agreement with the March of Dimes to provide educational tools, workshops and events to improve the overall quality of life in the community in keeping with the Sorority's founding mission. Through 2011, our organizations will share the mission and a vision to improve infant health, educate young women of child bearing age and provide resources, mentoring and support. According to Past International Grand Basileus, Dr. Annie Lawrence Brown, this renewed partnership is vital because "Project Reassurance is the best tradition of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. It offers our chapters the chance to give the fullest and most delicate interpretation to strengthening family life. A major step in this direction is to emphasize the importance of sound physical and mental health. What affects one family member affects all."
