OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NATIONAL CAMPAIGN
TO PREVENT TEEN AND UNPLANNED PREGANACY
The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy seeks to improve the lives and future prospects of children and families and to help ensure that children are born into stable, two-parent families who are committed to and ready for the demanding task of raising the next generation.
With a $25,000 grant from the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, Sigma Gamma Rho hopes to find some answers. It is an opportunity to create a positive win-win relationship between our organizations under the umbrella of Project Reassurance. Not only will our partnership provide better insight to the Campaign on the issues of teen pregnancy in our communities but will allow the Sorority to push our signature National Project.
The grant, a one-year phased grant, will require early and continued commitment of sorority members. The committee plans to submit a survey to obtain data. Once compiled, we want to develop conclusions and recommendations for an action plan that includes specific actions that will draw both youth and parents into participation to attack this issue. It's an important step in the growth of Project Reassurance.
