Dr. Karen Y. Williams

Executive Director (Bio)

Dr. Karen Y. Williams is a visionary leader, educator, and strategist dedicated to organizational excellence and service. As Executive Director of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., she champions innovation, member engagement, and operational efficiency across the international sisterhood.

A certified Lean Six Sigma practitioner and retired government executive with a track record of business transformation. Dr. Williams has advanced initiatives in leadership development, financial literacy, and process improvement. Through her company, The Dividend Diva, she empowers individuals and communities to build sustainable financial and organizational success. Known for her integrity, results-driven leadership, and commitment to uplifting others, Dr. Williams continues to shape impactful, purpose-driven organizations. Dr. Williams has been married to the amazing Dr. Santana Williams and are the parents of two children.

Chief of Staff

Aminata Mbaye

Chief of Staff (Bio)

For over 18 years, Aminata Sidy Mbaye has been a noteworthy business professional with progressive experience in the areas of nonprofit organizational development and management, strategic event planning, and community relations. Senegalese born and “world raised”, Aminata sees the world as a big village and calls herself a Global Citizen. Having lived and studied in various countries, Aminata is a polyglot, speaking 5 languages with fluency in English, French and Spanish. Aware from a very young age of the blessings bestowed upon her as a young African girl with access to the best educational systems, Aminata has been driven by her resolve to effectively contribute to gender and social equity and sustainable development. Aminata attended the prestigious School of Law of the University Paris I Pantheon Sorbonne in Paris, France. During her undergraduate studies at La Sorbonne, she obtained an internship with the UNICEF at the UN headquarters in New York where she developed her love for the “Land of opportunity”. Her Journey led her to Maryland where she became an alumna of University of Maryland – College Park earning a degree in Business Management with Concentration in Legal Environment of Business. After several successful years in the global corporate world, Aminata decided to fulfill a lifelong aspiration to work for a non-profit organization and joined the staff of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. in 2008. She held several positions from Executive Assistant to Deputy Executive Director and Project Director. Until August 2020, Aminata led the team overseeing the operational planning and delivery of the organization’s major programs - Biennial Boules and Centennial - as the Director of Planning and Performance Delivery. Aminata currently serves as the organization's Chief of Staff. Aminata’s passion for socio-economic issues, humanity and sustainable development has been exercised both in her home country of Senegal, and in the US, as she volunteers her time on several boards of nonprofits and assisting government officials in Senegal with implementation of programs to boost entrepreneurship for women and youth. Aminata defines herself first and foremost as a devout and faithful servant of God. A beloved daughter and proudest mother of a 16-year-old son, Abdulaye, whom she calls her greatest accomplishment; she is happiest when surrounded by her family. Her favorite pastime is to explore the world and discover its multifaceted cultural heritage by way of travels, books, music and the arts.

Gwendolyn Goins

Gwendolyn Goins

Operations Director (Bio)

Gwendolyn M. Goins is the Operations Director at Sigma Gamma Rho’s ICHQ. She is responsible for service delivery and oversight of the customer service, membership services, vendor services, and communications teams at ICHQ. She also supports the Executive Director and First Grand Anti- Basileus on a variety of special assignments to meet IGB deliverables whenever needed.

Soror Goins has shown her commitment to service and the Sisterhood by actively participating on local, regional and national levels through officer or member roles, such as national programs, Rhoer Advisor, SWR Public Relations Team, The Aurora Magazine, and numerous Boule assignments.

Soror Goins earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Writing from the University of Houston-Downtown. In addition to her collegiate preparation, Soror Goins has received advanced training in media communications, public speaking, emergency response, catastrophic/mass casualty response, National Incident Management (NIMS) system and FEMA Emergency Management courses.

When not working or volunteering, Soror Goins enjoys baking for her family and friends. She maintains an active lifestyle of fitness, travel, and boutique shopping.

Finance Manager

Asha Singh

Finance Manager (Bio)

Asha Singh has spent almost 2 years with Sigma Gamma Rho as Finance Manager. She has added immense strength to HQ leadership with her 17+ years of finance experience. She is a performance coach and a transformation philosopher. She is also instrumental in creating a strong finance foundation and bring us up to speed with HQ Audits and Tax filing.

Companies Worked For: Tesco, Hudson Bay Company, Standard Chartered Bank in multiple locations and work capacities.

Education: Bachelors in Accounting, MBA.

Beyond Work: She enjoys being a first-time mommy! She likes to travel to explore and learn about new places and its’ culture/food, likes reading books, perfecting her Indian continental fusion recipes, and volunteering for community initiatives. Asha is a big supporter of women empowerment initiatives. And let’s not forget she’s an avid fan of Cricket!

Membership Services Manager

Karya Evans

Membership Services Manager (Bio)

Karya Beamon-Evans is the Membership Services Manager at International Corporate Headquarters. She manages the combined Membership Services and Customer Service departments. The department services all things membership: Help Ticketing system, Reactivation and Transfer requests, Chapter Charters, TORCH, etc.

As a member of Sigma Gamma Rho since 1991, Soror Beamon-Evans is one of eleven SGRho legacies and is Life Member #859. She has served in elected and appointed leadership positions on the Local, Regional, and National levels including Grammateus, Tamiochus, Programs Chair, Boule Assistant, Southeastern Region Audit Committee, and Southeastern Region Grammateus. Most recently, she served as the International Grand Grammateus and Centennial Boule Conference Coordinator.

Soror Beamon-Evans is a proud graduate of Tennessee State University holding a B.S. degree in Elementary Education, M.A. degree in Administration and Supervision, and Administrative licensure in the state of Tennessee.

Soror Beamon-Evans retired from Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools after 27 years of continuous and faithful service to students and their families in urban Nashville communities in both educational and administrative leadership roles. The wife, mother, and friend is a member of Upsilon Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and, in her spare time, enjoys traveling, shopping, fine dining, and spending time with family and friends.

Nicole Rhone

HR Business Partner (Bio)

Nicole Rhone is the CEO of Flourishing, LLC, which is a coaching and consulting company that helps both high-performing women and businesses increase their capacity for sustainable success. She is also the host of the five-star rated Flow and Flourish Podcast, an international Diversity, Equity and Inclusion trainer, as well as a highly sought-after Capacity Coach.

This wife and mother of two has spent over a decade as a coach and human resources leader in the corporate sector, supporting thousands of employees globally, so she knows what it’s like to wear many hats and juggle competing priorities.

Nicole has worked for and partnered with billion-dollar, fortune 500 companies such as BMO Harris Bank, Roosevelt University and Northwestern Medicine, to help them coach employees, build leadership capabilities and cultivate thriving company cultures. Because of her 20+ years of corporate experience, Nicole understands the unique challenges of busy, high performing women as well as growing businesses, and how a lack of fluidity can create a barrier between them and their next level.

Juneann George

Project Manager (Bio)

Juneann serves as the Special Projects and Initiatives Manager at Sigma Gamma Rho International Corporate Headquarters. Since joining, she has been pivotal in launching, overseeing, and executing a range of strategic projects that have amplified Sigma’s mission and impact. Before stepping into this position, Juneann provided her expertise as a Consultant, guiding the organization with strategic, compliance, operations, and project management support.

In addition to her role at Sigma Gamma Rho, Juneann is the CEO of George Van Nooten (GVN), a boutique operations consulting firm that partners with Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, and small businesses to drive operational excellence. Recognized as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives, she and her team leverage GVN’s proprietary OPTIMIZESM Framework to deliver tailored solutions that improve efficiency, enhance competitiveness, and empower organizations to deliver on their promises, and achieve their goals.

Juneann served as the youngest board member of the Guyanese Girls Rock Foundation, inspiring the next generation of female leaders in the Guyanese diaspora. She is also the author of Optimized in 90 Days: Lily’s Lemonade Stand, a guide that makes complex business strategies accessible for leaders at all levels.

With a personal philosophy rooted in continuous learning, growth, and innovation, she brings this philosophy to her work at Sigma Gamma Rho, remaining dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in business and beyond.

Information Technology Manager

Joshua Gabrielson

IT Manager (Bio)

Joshua Gabrielson is a seasoned IT leader based in Roanoke, Virginia. He currently serves as the IT Manager for Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., an international nonprofit organization, where he leads the development, security, and modernization of critical technology systems. At Sigma Gamma Rho, Joshua manages platforms like Salesforce, ChapterSoft, and SharePoint, and drives major technology initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, and member engagement.

With over two decades of IT experience, Joshua specializes in database administration, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and systems integration. He holds a degree from American University and has built a career centered on designing innovative, reliable, and user-centered technology solutions.

Before joining Sigma Gamma Rho, Joshua served as Vice President of Business Technology at Member One Federal Credit Union, where he spearheaded digital transformation efforts and enhanced service operations across the organization.

Beyond his IT career, Joshua is an entrepreneur and creative professional. He founded Wedding Photography and Films, a wedding media company that has produced over 500 wedding videos, blending his background in radio, television, and film with a passion for storytelling.

Joshua is also deeply committed to community service. He founded Blessing Bags, a grassroots initiative providing essential hygiene kits to homeless individuals and disaster victims, including those affected by hurricanes in Puerto Rico.

Through his leadership in technology, entrepreneurship, and service, Joshua Gabrielson continues to make a meaningful impact both professionally and within the Roanoke community.

Compliance Specialist

Tahesha LeFevre

Compliance Specialist (Bio)

Tahesha R. LeFevre is the Compliance Specialist at International Corporate Headquarters (“ICHQ”). She provides support to the International Legal Advisor, Deputy Legal Advisor and Regional Legal Advisors in their volunteer duties. She also manages compliance issues for membership including end-of-year reports, 990 compliance and applies for appropriate governmental filings for newly charted chapters and ICHQ staff-related needs.

Shortly after becoming a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., in 2019, Soror LeFevre began her journey as a volunteer paralegal to the Deputy Legal Advisor and Disciplinary Action Team in 2021, this service to Sigma eventually led to Soror LeFevre joining the legal team as a part-time Paralegal in 2023, reporting to the International Legal Advisor and the ICHQ Operations Director, Gwendolyn Goins. In this role, she was responsible for providing legal expertise to the Legal Department, the members of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., as well as staff members of ICHQ. Soror LeFevre also provided clerical and research support services including document preparation and review, research, investigations, and fact-checking to the legal team.

Soror LeFevre brings over ten years of Paralegal experience and an extensive educational background to ICHQ which includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Fordham University, a Paralegal Studies Certificate from Westchester Community College, a Master of Science in Jurisprudence & Financial Compliance from Seton Hall School of Law and last but not least, a Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University.

Soror LeFevre is a member of the Theta Lambda Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and in her spare time the mother of two enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Marketing and Communications Manager

Jamila Walker

Marketing and Communications Manager (Bio)

Jamila has joined the Marketing team as our Marketing and Communications Manager, reporting to the Executive Director. In this role, Jamila will take the lead on creating and delivering the marketing and communications vision, which will include partnering cross-functionally on social media campaigns, website content development, marketing materials, press release support, and internal/external communication plans.

She brings over 10 years of experience in marketing, specifically with traditional and digital marketing, social media, media relations, video editing, project management, and graphic design. Her most recent role was the Director of Digital Strategy at VPM (Virginia Public Media), where she restructured and rebranded the digital department, used data analytics to identify gaps and create solutions, and worked with content producers to publish news and non-news content.

Additionally, she brings her educational background of both a BA in  Print Journalism from Hampton University and a Master’s in Interactive Media from Quinnipiac University.

Jamila is a member of the Omega Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. where she serves as the graphic design chair and the reactivation and transfer chair. , Jamila is a wife and a mother of twin daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles and spending time with family and friends.

Conference and Event Planning Manager

Patrice Rullo

Conference and Event Planning Manager (Bio)

With over a decade of experience in global event planning and execution, Patrice is a seasoned Conference and Event Planning Manager known for delivering impactful and seamless events within the faith-based community. Her expertise spans from intimate leadership retreats to large-scale international conferences, consistently marked by excellence in logistics, attendee engagement, and mission-driven execution.

A graduate of Capital University with additional professional training in event planning from Belmont University, Patrice combines academic knowledge with hands-on experience to craft meaningful and memorable experiences. Her deep understanding of diverse cultures and communities has enabled her to coordinate events across multiple continents with cultural sensitivity and operational precision.

Residing in Nashville, Tennessee, Patrice is a devoted wife and proud mother of three. Her oldest daughter shares her passion for hospitality, her son is currently studying at a Christian University in Texas, and her youngest daughter is in high school.

When she's not orchestrating events, she finds joy in outdoor activities, reading, global travel, and cherishing time with her family—her greatest source of inspiration and fulfillment.
